Safe for vegetarians... probably

I try to avoid processed crap like this, but sometimes I just neeeeeeed this kind of chocolatey cookie goodness. Today is one of those days.

Plus, this one was good for a giggle:

Phew! What a relief!

Joel and I get those from time to time at the Asian market. He used to eat them in Japan, which is a weird place. Pig fat is probably of some concern there, for some reason.

I am not altogether clear on what that is. Is it a cookie you dip in chocolate? *am puzzled* On a less dumb note, I had Twix from the vending machine at work today. They are my fave guilty afternoon pleasure.

Oh my god. I grew up on that stuff! It was my afternoon treat, you know, after my lunch of ramen noodles and vienna sausages. What can I say, in my (first generation American) family, processed foods are the luxury of this great country. That and McD's. When we moved from the bay area to penn, my brother and I filled an entire box full of them to last us til our next visit. No lie.

I gotta say, I do love the Asian junk food treats. I was really in the mood for Pocky, which I thought this would be akin to, but it wasn't quite the same. @Jessie -- it is indeed little biscuit cookies you dip in a creamy chocolate spread. Pretty good.
